With a weekend migration, we take your existing systems offline at 5pm Friday, and your new environment is up and running before the start of business on Monday morning. We take direction from you on when is the best time to start the migration process. Also, a migration may not take as long as 2 days. You can be up and running in no time but depending on the amount of historical data, the time of migrating this data is variable.

Otherwise, there is nothing to install. Office 365 requires users to be on at least Outlook 2007 or 2010. Also, Office 2013 requires a Windows 7 or 8 Operating system.

Your email system will be unavailable for a maximum of 1 hour from commencement of the migration. Most organisations plan for migration to be performed over a weekend, minimising interruption to business. This is totally dependent on the organisations domain host. C2C manages the change within your domain host to switch your domain from pointing and forwarding all emails to your current email service to point to Office 365. Typically the change only takes 30 minutes. Once this happens, you can now access your new email account. Once the change is made, we begin migration of your historical email data to your new account. This is variable depending on how much data each person has in their mailbox to date.
